According to the Kiribati Provident Fund Act, members may fully withdraw their KPF Funds under the following grounds: Migration, Incapacity, Age 45 (Pre-Retired), Age 50, Death (With Nominee/Without Nominee).

Migration

Eligibility

    1. Members who are leaving the Country for good 
    2. Should fully withdraw the available KPF contribution balance 
    3. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above 

Requirements

    1. Permit, 
    2. Visa, 
    3. Passport, 
    4. Travel ticket & other relevant documents 
    5. Valid KPF ID Card 

Payments Method

To be paid direct to applicant’s bank account

Incapacity

Eligibility

    1. Members who are believed to be Unfit can no longer work 
    2. Should fully withdraw the available KPF contribution balance 
    3. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above 

Requirements

    1. Complete the KPF Illness Full Withdrawal Form, 
    2. Complete the KPF Medical Examination Form (to be filled in by MHMS doctor, 
    3. Complete the KPF Interview Sheet for general enquiries, 
    4. Valid KPF ID Card 

Payments Method

To be paid direct to applicant’s bank account

Age 45 (Pre-Retirement)

Eligibility

    1. Members who have attained 45 years of age and pre-retired 
    2. Should fully withdraw the available KPF contribution balance 
    3. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above 

Requirements

    1. Complete the KPF Age 45 withdrawal Form, 
    2. Support Letter from the Employer, 
    3. Valid KPF ID Card 

Payments Method

To be paid direct to applicant’s bank account

Age 50

Eligibility

    1. Members who have attained 50 years of age 
    2. May fully withdraw the available KPF contribution balance 
    3. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above 

Requirements

    1. Complete the KPF Age 50 withdrawal Form, 
    2. Valid KPF ID Card 

Payments Method

To be paid direct to applicant’s bank account

Death

Eligibility/Process

    1. All Nominees of the deceased may apply to do a withdrawal 
    2. If the deceased has NO NOMINATION/INVALID NOMINATION, a wife/child/parents/brother/sister etc may apply but the fund will be paid to the Kiribati High Court 
    3. If the deceased has NOMINATIONS, each nominee specified in the deceased member’s Nomination is entitled to withdraw the portion specified in the Nomination form (in percentage) 
    4. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2&3 above 

Requirements

    1. Birth Certificate for (Kids) 
    2. Member’s Death Certificate 
    3. Marriage Certificate (Wife 

Payments Method

    1. To be paid direct to applicant’s bank account OR 
    2. Cheque payment to the Kiribati High Court
