According to the Kiribati Provident Fund Act, members may partially withdraw their KPF Funds under the following grounds: Hardship, Age 45 (but still employed), Age 50 and Death (Special Death Benefit).
Hardship
Eligibility
- 1. Members who have been unemployed for at least six(6)months
2. May withdraw up to 50% of their KPF Funds
3. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above
Requirements
- 1. Complete the Financial Hardship Application Form
2. Complete the Interview Sheet for general enquiries
3. Valid KPF ID Card
Payments Method
- 1. To be paid direct to member’s bank account
Age 45 (but still employed)

Age 50
Eligibility
- 1. Members who have attained 50 years of age
2. May withdraw part of the total funds available
3. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above
Requirements
- 1. The document from Hospital OR
2. The copy of the BPA announcement
3. Any Valid recognized ID Card (National, Driving License, or KPF)
Payments Method
To be paid direct to applicant’s bank account
Death (Special Death Benefit)
Eligibility
- 1. Relatives of the deceased member who hosts the event
2. May withdraw $1,500.00 for funeral assistance
3. If the member has insufficient funds, 50% of the unpledged should be paid
4. Note: If the member has a Loan Pledge and/or a KPF Loan balance, they will become part of the calculation for the withdrawal eligibility in 2 above

2. The Stamped copy of the BPA announcement
3. Any Valid recognized Identification Card (National ID Card, Driving License, or KPF ID Card)
